BMW, the German car manufacturer is known as a company that likes to design and build sporty and interesting cars, so it was not a surprise when they first unveiled the X6 – a coupe SUV, which was a form of car that was not known before. The car itself would easily become another failure, if it wasn’t for the amazing design and the aggressive looks – which is something that all BMWs are known for. The current X6 was introduced in 2015 and while it is set to get a mid-cycle update in 2016, the rumors have already started to surface with information about the 2017 BMW X6.
2017 BMW X6 Exterior
There are no official images at this moment – and we don’t expect them for at least another 6 months. The reports suggest that the new BMW X6 2017 will be significantly different than the current X6, since the German manufacturer wants to roll out a new X6 every two to three years. However, the chassis and the platform are not going to be changed, so the new BMW X6 will be similar in both shape and size to its predecessor.
One report claims that the manufacturer has decided to make the new X6 even more aggressive – by making the front kidney grille bigger, bigger front bumper and lower and wider headlights (BMW is considering using a new technology they have been developing). In the back, reports suggest that the German manufacturer plans to introduce a completely new design – different taillights with LED elements, bigger rear diffuser and rear bumper, along with bigger exhaust pipes. According to some reports, the German manufacturer is considering offering the BMW X6 in 2017 options that include two colors and even with some vinyl as a part of some special edition.
BMW X6 2017 Interior
Interiors for expensive SUVs are very important, because they are one of the most important elements of these vehicles. The German manufacturer is working on a redesign of the interior used in the current X6, so it is safe to expect that the upcoming 2017 BMW X6 is going to have a dashboard that has the similar shelf-like layout, but with new details and design features.
The 2017 BMW X6 will be no different when it comes to materials used in the cabin – the manufacturer will choose the high quality leather for the seats, soft touch plastic for the dashboard and the metallic accents.
Engine of the new BMW X6
According to the reports, under the hood will be no changes – the 2017 BMW X6 will be offered with the two engines as its predecessor. First is the 6-cylinder 3.0l turbocharged engine that produces around 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque.
Second engine comes in two different versions – first version produces 450 horsepower, while the second version will be found in the M-version of the BMW X6 2017 and it will produce exactly 567 horsepower.
Price and Release Date
The 2017 BMW X6 will start at around $60,000, and it will go on sale in late 2016 or in early 2017.
